Not-So Madeleine

Madeleines  are small shell-shaped sponge cake commonly recognized as cookie. I don't  have molds so I converted the Madeleine batter into cookie dough. So here we go.

Ingredients :

300 gms of self raising Flour

3-4 tbs of Honey

100 gms of curd

50 gms of  Butter/Oil

1 tsp of  Baking powder

Finely grated zest of  1 lemon and juice of half  Lemon.

Some red and green Fruit candies (commonly called cherries)

Pre-Heat your microwave at 180 degree C , grease your baking tray and keep it aside.Sift your Flour and Baking powder and keep it aside.
Melt Butter mix in Curd , Honey , zest and juice of Lemon and whisk. Now fold in Flour mixture scoop by scoop and bring the mixture together to form a dough.
Roll the dough in walnut sized balls and place them on baking tray slightly apart.Place the candies in center of balls, flatten them with help of back of Fork. Bake them for 10-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Carefully take them out .Eat them warm or cold .With-Without some lemon cream, its your choice..
I am signing off for my much awaited Break. :) will be back by next year ;)

Fundu Ice Cream Puddle ;)

This dessert looks hideous  :/ Hence I gave it the name Puddle :P. I did not have the cake baking tin so could not give it a proper round shape, though I tried , else it would have looked a lot better :P. But then I thought, what the hell, its not a girl in some beauty pageant  that it must look pretty. In the end what  matters is Taste :)

       So here we go.

Ingredients:

20  Digestive Biscuits ( depends on your baking tin or whatever container you are using I use a pot (Bhagona) lined it with aluminium foil leaving extra sides so that I can take the desert out easily )

1 small tetra pak of  Amul fresh cream

1 90 gms poch of  Bournville Raisin and Nut ( You can use any Dark chocolate )

4-5  slices of white bread ( sides removed or you can use as it is)

1 Brick of vanilla ice cream

2 tbs of sugar (optional)

Crush the biscuits  coarsely and put the fresh cream to boil.Take it off the burner and add pieces of chocolates in it and mix it properly.
Place the layer biscuits in any dish and pour chocolate ganache all over it ( not all of it ) and now place bread slice over it and cover the first layer properly.Pour ganache over bread slices and cover it with vanilla ice cream layer. Now repeat the bread layer then ganache (all of it) and in the end ice cream. Keep it refrigerator for around 15 minutes
And your Puddle is ready to dive in :) ;)

Ciao !
