Smell of Coffee , mmmmm , Bliss!
This dessert totally depends how strong you like your coffee :) , recipe is too easy (not mine)
Serves 1
Ingredients :
1-2 tsp of coffee
1 cup of hot water
2 tsp of sugar
some fresh cream (or you can buy Amul fresh cream)
1 tsp of vanilla essence
some crushed ice
some powdered sugar
Put a baking tray and a bowl in freezer and start with real work :P.. I never boil coffee over stove it goes all bitter therefore I usually stir in hot water and that is what I am going to do. Mix well coffee and sugar in hot water, set aside and let it cool .
Now take out bowl from freezer and put fresh cream some crushed ice, vanilla essence and some powdered sugar in it,whisk vigorously (you can use electric hand mixer if you have it),now put the cream back in freezer for at least 10 minutes. Now put your coffee mixture in baking tray and it goes back in freezer for around 30 minutes. Now check your cream and and whisk it again until its a bit thick and dropping consistency
Check your coffee mixture (granita) , see if ice crystal are formed around edges,if there is just scrape it with fork and bring it to liquid centre.Put the tray back in freezer for another 30 minutes and repeat this step for 3-4 times.
Serve the granita in pre-chilled glass , bowl or cup with cream on the top :) !
You can serve the granita with vanilla ice cream or Mother dairy's Choco Fudge too :)
arrivederci !
